The King: Stuart Smith 5^th Generation BOI, resides in Galveston with his lovely wife Catherine, and their three children Stephen, Christen, and Grace. He serves as a Director of Smith-Hamm, Inc. and is employed as Chief Financial Officer of Malin Construction Company both based in Galveston. He is also President of STS Hospitality Group, Inc., which owns Nate's Steakhouse, Seafood, and Family Restaurant on 13^th and Seawall. A 14-year member of the Krewe, serving six years as Duke on the Royal Court and his 10^th year as a Float Captain. He is especially proud that as King, he follows in the footsteps of his father, Danny, who was named King Gambrinus IV. He enjoys being active in the Mardi Gras festivities and affirms that members of this Krewe take Mardi Gras to another level. Stuart says, "To the members of this Krewe, Mardi Gras is not just an event, it's a lifestyle."

The Queen: Linda Kuper of Houston (originally from Galveston) has been married to Stan Kuper for the past 23 years. They have two children, Daniel age 17 and Tori age 16. She is a Charter member of the Krewe and has the honor of being the only Princess that the Krewe has ever had. After eight straight years of vying for the crown, she finally learned to take advice from a member of the crowd at the King's Day Celebration and found the baby in her cake. She is very excited to finally join the fantastic group of queens that have respresented the Krewe of Gambrinus over the past 14 years.
