The King: King Gambrinus XXI is Bartt Thompson - Bartt will be crowned at the Coronation Ball on January 26, 2010. Bartt has lived in Houston for more than 20 years, and is an attorney with the firm of Pagel, Davis & Hill, P.C. as head of its transaction section. His wife Deborah, Queen of 2007, is also an attorney with her own firm. This is Bartt's second year on the Royal Court. He has served the Krewe as Chairman of Parade Bands for the past four years. His hobbies include golf and cooking. As King he is looking forward to the spreading of goodwill and promotion of the Krewe and Galveston Island. And of course, throwing the best beads ever in the Seawall Parade!

The Queen: Her Royal Highness is Cindy Thomson - Cindy calls "home" as Houston and Galveston, splitting their living and leisure time in each city. Originally from New Jersey, Cindy came to Texas by way of husband Larry's job with Continental Airlines in 1980 after his naval career. She is currently employed with an independent oil and gas exploration company in downtown Houston as their Senior Landman. A member of our Krewe for seven years, this is Cindy's fifth year to be a part of the Royal Court. A former Board Member, Cindy, with Larry, now serves as Co-Chair of the Host Committee as well as Co-Float Captains. Daughter Leah and son Brian (with wife Cindy) will bring 3 yr old grandson, Hunter, to all the festivities. As Queen, Cindy looks forward to bringing Mardi Gras excitement to the Island. She encourages everyone to attend each and every event with her!
